There is a desperate need to manage change differently. A deep knowledge of our social world and its complexity meets that need. In time, that will become the way we do things.
This creates an opportunity for visionary leaders and managers to move away from the constant disappointment and failure of an approach no longer working. It applies to all industries including health care.
The problems we deal with are more complex than before and can only be solved by engaging with them collectively. This is not the time for experts and gurus, but for mentors and facilitators, a role for which I am uniquely qualified.
